2008-01-08: CANalyzer 7.0 SP2

Download

With Service Pack 2 (Update to 7.0 build 38, previous service packs are contained), the following changes become effective:

Panel Designer and new Panels:

  • Improved perfomance of new Panels
  • Changes of the system databases are recognized in the Panel Designer

MOST:

  • Access to the synchronous channels via USB: With VN2610 and corresponding drivers from version 6.6 on, it is possible to access all synchronous channels of the MOST ring. CANalyzer comes with demo configurations which allow to either stream all synchronous channels to the hard disc, respectively to stream data from the hard disc to the MOST ring. CANalyzer provides the infrastructure for the streaming, specific algorithms for analysis or CODECs can be implemented in a DLL. Additional information can be found in the document  MOST_SyncStreaming_Documentation.pdf, located in the folder "Demo_MOST_CL/MOSTStreaming/Documentation" of the CANalyzer installation.
  • New CAPL command MostSetCorrectStartupSBC: As Timing Master CANalyzer sets the Synchronous Boundary Control (SBC) according to the MOST specification to a valid value after a closed MOST ring is detected. For testing purposes, e.g. to simulate an open MOST ring for devices under test, this service can be deactivated.
  • Busstatistics: The busload on the asynchronous channel is now also calculated with deactivated spy.
  • Stress features: Unlock sequences can now be generated more accurately and allow  a precise analysis how long an unlock has to be to trigger a reaction of a device under test.
  • Saving message definitions from within a MOST Application Filter (MAF), which allows reloading these definitions into other MAFs works correctly now.
  • Vista Support: With VN2610 and corresponding drivers from version 6.6 on, the Option MOST is fully functional under Windows Vista. The driver version 6.6 is needed for access to the synchronous channels, Vista support and improved stress features.

FlexRay:

  • With the FlexRay interfaces VN3x00 and VN7600 a hardware based support of simulations with PDUs is implemented. This feature requires the latest driver for the interfaces (>= 6.6.18).
  • Vista Support: With VN3x00/VN7600 and corresponding drivers from version 6.6 on, the Option FlexRay is fully functional under Windows Vista.
