Overview:
This one day class provides an introduction to the J1939 protocol. The course will cover such topics as the J1939 Application Layers, Dynamic Network Managament, Diagnostics and the J1939 Physical Layers.
Prerequisite:
A basic understanding of the CAN protocol (Vector's CAN Communication class) is helpful but not absolutely required. Some previous experience with CANalyzer, CANoe or another CAN analysis tool is also helpful as CANoe is used to aid in the explanation of some of the topics.
