CANdelaStudio Version 5.0 has a product activation feature that links the software license to specific computer hardware (“Copy protection“). Unless activated CANdelaStudio can only be used as a demo version with unlimited time period. In the product activation process only data relevant to the installation are transferred. Vector uses the acquired data exclusively for product activation.
To activate the product open the Activation Assistant in CANdelaStudio (on the menu bar under “Help | Product activation“). The required Activation ID can be found on the cover of the Product CD.
You can choose between two different methods of product activation:
- Online: Automatically via the Internet (recommended – no time delay)
- By e-mail to: activation@vector-worldwide.com
If you choose activation by e-mail, copy the activation request generated in the Activation Assistant in a blank e-mail and send to Vector. In response Vector will send you a License Certificate by e-mail which you will need to enter in the Activation Assistant. If this is a first-time activation the initial step involves an additional e-mail exchange to obtain a Hardware Certificate for configuring license management on your computer.
